Little Stars

Little Stars LogoEvery Tuesday during term time 1:30 til 3:00pm

We warmly welcome you and your child to Little Stars, a service for pre-school children and their carers. We meet every Tuesday afternoon in term time at St George’s Church in Wootton and have fun together hearing Bible stories, singing songs, making crafts, and discovering new and creative ways to pray. We also set aside time each week for the children to play and for you to chat and make friends. We are an open and friendly church and we hope you will enjoy your time here and soon feel at home.

Our vision at Little Stars is to share the love of Jesus with pre-school children by:

  • Exploring the Christian faith through Bible stories

  • Enjoying music, craft and other activities

  • Creating a sense of belonging and community

Our service starts with a welcome song and action songs to help your child to engage. We then settle down to enjoy a Bible story using visual aids and actions, so your child can join in. After a few more songs and instrument playing, we spend some time in prayer, often using props, bubbles, actions, and edible treats to help us to pray. During the main part of the service we ask you to listen and join in with any actions, along with your child. It will help them to focus and engage. After the service, there is time for you to chat and a craft activity for you and your child to explore while we serve refreshments.

Clear up time begins at 2.50pm.  Since many carers leave to collect children from school, the afternoon finishes at 3pm.  Any help you could give packing away toys and cushions would be very welcomed.

We are delighted to see you at Little Stars. So we can keep you updated with Little Stars dates and activities, you are invited to provide us with your email address, and contact details below. We usually email at the beginning and end of each term, and on occasion, we will notify you if we have other church activities coming up that your child may enjoy. We have a Facebook Page too, so please indicate if you’d like to join it.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
